To maintain a top quality lawn, effective lawn watering is required.  This normally involves gear driven pop-ups which are installed beneath the lawn and use an effective network of pipe work, the sprinkler rises from the ground as watering commences and then when finishes sinks back down into the lawn and becomes invisible to naked eye again.   

Watering is normally operated by a controller that is linked to a timer which again is set for an effective timed watering pattern.

There are two main types of positioning of the sprinklers on the lawn, edge watering (which places the sprinklers on the perimeter and gives an 180 degree arc) and centre watering (which is in the centre of the lawn but throws the water further). 

To maintain an effective lawn, the sprinklers must always overlap each other’s spray by about 50% of their throw diameter to insure uniform distribution and less water wastage.
